Technology sucks

Today was the Chinese paper.

My electronic dictionary died on me right after i check the meaning of the first word on the question paper. I had to write my compo in simple chinese.

FML. =.=

The line

They are the ones who will snatch the A's away from you.

I will not let them do that. I swear.

Water sculpturing really isnt as easy as it looks without some "professional" equipment (namely the burette to ensure a constant drip of water and a strobe that recharges fast enough)

They arent perfect, but they are the better ones.

And i noticed that there's a particle of dust on the camera's sensor (right at the bottom of the frame, near the middle but tending towards the right side). lols

I'll upload monday's pictures some other time.. =.=

30km

Cycling 30km in 9 hours is no joke. Going by the tough way (lots of bumps and dips) does not help.

Route (start time: 9am):
Cycle from Tampines to Pasir Ris with a detour to Downtown East using the Tampines Park Connector. [2km]
Switching to the Loyang Park Connector, we cycled from Pasir Ris to Changi Village. [4km]
After breakfast (goreng pisang and coconut juice), set off for East Coast via some-park-connector-which-i-forgot-the-name, and passing by Changi Airport. CJ wanted to take a video of a plane taking off. I told him that it was a stupid idea. [5-6km]
Reached East Coast at around 1pm, and cycled from one end to another. [4km]
Turned around and went back to Changi using the same route (dying already). [9-10km]
Had tea, which was supposed to be lunch (Bread + goreng pisang + lime juice), at Changi at 4pm.
Cycled back to Tampines using that ultra high difficulty route via Changi Prison. You wouldnt believe the condition of the pavements there. The roots of trees have completely wrecked them, and it was uphill 70% of the time. We nearly had to stop at every bus stop to catch a breather before carrying on.
Reached Tampines at around 6. End of journey, but not end of the day.

Slacked a bit around Si yuan's house while deciding whr to go for dinner when si yuan came down from his block. Finally, went for dinner at 7, at the coffee shop near my house. Then went to the street soccer court to watch them play soccer, but got dragged into the game reluctantly. Played 2 games despite my conscience, which was screaming for me to go home and get a break and file in all my notes. Reached home at around 8.

The End.

P.S.
My butt is aching like nuts (try sitting on a bike for 9 hours), and my body has 2 colours, red and white. I know i said i wanted a tan, but i wasnt really expecting an unequal one. =.=

P.P.S
My brother said "O.M.G." in his sleep yesterday. He is 5 years old. I was totally amused. Lol.

Technology sucks

Just yesterday, i realised that i had trouble opening my email inbox. Or rather, the system told me that i DO NOT have an inbox although i had the Windows Live account. Quite ironic actually, seeing as i created the email account first, then subsequently, the Live account.

Blame MSN for all you like, but personally, i think MINDEF should accept emails that contains hyphens. Because of MINDEF not accepting emails with hyphens, i have to create a new account which does not have a hyphen. And after i create the account with hyphens and added everyone onto that account, not to mention changing all the contact details on all my other online profiles (blogger, facebook, IVLE, ISIS etc), the system crashed on me and i have to deal with all this crap.

However, you cant say that MSN is completely innocent. It erased my email account, prevented tty from attaching a file to his email thereby making him miss his deadline, and andik cant even open up the inbox because all it shows is a blank page.

In all, technology sucks. And Man made technology. So the bottom line is that we all suck. Have a nice day..

Cheering up

Sypnosis of today's activities:
Went to MJ early in the morn (around 10am) even when i had no school to submit my pictures for photo essay. After that, i met up with zu an and we went to tampines 1 + tampines mall + century square to hunt for presents for zu an's parents. In the process, we found some great deals (2 pairs of Puma shoes for $60) and some not-so-great deals ($45 for a Mizuno sports singlet, though i must admit that the design is nice). In the end, i bought a Adidas sports singlet ($25.90, for jogging purposes) and zu an bought shorts, one for each of his parents. Then it was lunch, at a coffee shop near Tampines North CC, before we parted. And when i reached home, it was GPP all the way till 6, when i went to jog all the way to MJ and back with jansen. The round trip took about an hour, which wasnt really too bad, though i kind of tired thanks to the 100 sit ups i did before leaving home (made me have stitches during the first 5 mins of the run, wth.) After that, it was dinner, and then GPP all the way (again) till 10.35pm. Held a tiny mental celebration upon its completion, then spent some time trying to comfort someone, but failed miserably (unfortunately).

Oh well, life has its ups and downs. But when its down, we should stay strong so that when things get better, we will be able to enjoy ourselves once more. =)

Nothing much to say actually. But on the other hand, i have things to show.

Original version of Nobody, by Wondergirls.

Mr Brown's parody version of Nobody (Swine flu, actually)

Lastly, VJC's version of Nobody (and the most hilarious too, if i might add, hahas).

P.S.
Teck Li is some bloody sore loser in soccer. He kicks the ball at your face when he cant get it from you. And if he cant score, he'll wack it against the wall such that it bounces back and hits you on the head. lol

this and that

A trip to the Asian Civilisations Museum yesterday, as part of the NE trip made me found out that the chinese, as far back as 1660, were already doing calculations involving trigo, log, and even specific gravity. Amazing.

Then the movie at Lido. Funny, but it could have been better if we sat further back. Tilting your head 50 degrees upwards for around 2 hours doesnt really make you feel comfortable.

Oh, and i am never going to walk home with cj and jansen anymore. buggers..
