That's life

I don't know why, but i feel kind of pissed at the world in general today. It doesnt feel very nice to get angry over everything little thing, but i cant help it today.

I think its the homework. Seriously. I am not used to crossing deadlines or leaving things undone. But just yesterday, my bio project was handed in late (i cant even blame myself, since it was a technical difficulty which popped out of nowhere, but still, its irritates me to have handed it in late.) Then today, there's this mountainous pile of revision and other homework to be done. And it totally did not help in lifting my mood.

Oh well, tomorrow will be better, right?

Of work, projects, and assignments.

I have a JC2 friend (not in MJC) who once said: "JC 的 功 课 是 做 不 完 的 咯." (translation: the amount of work you get in JC is never ending.)

Now i know wad she meant. =.=

I finished a whole trigonometric/algebraic differentiation tutorial all by myself without any help other than that from my textbook and the formula sheet! I feel so accomplished. xD

Cover-up rule

First day of the permanent timetable. Great (i am not being sarcastic here..).

I am actually getting to like H2 math because i understand it more than secondary sch Amath. That's not to say that Mrs Pong's teaching isnt good. Its just that i seem to like the lecture-tutorial style of JC better, because everyone shuts up and listen to the teacher. Really helps in creating a conducive environment that facilitates better and quicker understanding of the topics taught. I am also understanding more about that crazy plate tectonics theory, thanks to me, myself and I. =D

And we have this totally cool and hilarious teacher for math tutorials, who actually encouraged the class to make more noise. According to him, making more noise in class makes the lesson more alive. I think everyone was happy to oblige.

So we ran 2.4 for our first ever PE lesson in like, a looooong time. And i am surprised with my personal endurance of going 2km without walking. I was kind of prepared to just go about 1km before having to stop, so its feels quite good that i've surpassed my limits. Now, its time to surpass others'. muahaha

Oh, oh, oh, we have sparks flying in class already (not at or from me, of course). But unfortunately, its a one-sided affair. Nevertheless, it provided me with half an hour of laughter. xD

Ok, i know i have used this skin before, but i've grown tired of bright colours. Plain and simple suits me best, i think.

Oh well, the permanent timetable starts tomorrow. Time to start mugging..

V Day...

Today is valentine's day.. And i feel a little weird, spending the day at home and doing work. I wonder why.. >.<

Walking on the path which he has not taken for months, memories, both sweet and bitter, washed over him. Memories of fun and joy, and of sweat and pain were all experienced in that short walk home.

Missing the times that were past, he wondered if he would ever get to enjoy such a carefree life ever again in that new life of his. Perhaps he would, but most likely, he wouldn't.

With a sigh, he pushed those memories into a chest at the back of his mind, locked them up, and threw away the key. Perhaps half a century later, he would search for the key, and revel in the wonders within. But for now, he would keep them bolted shut, sheltering them from the onslaught of mental and physical tests that he was about to experience..

If i were to sum up this orientation with one word, it would be "awesome". Even then, i think its an understatement.

Day 1: Ran around the school and had wet games and played all sorts of crazy games like Captain's Ball with water bombs, and danced a mass dance and a couple dance.

Day 2: Ran around Singapore playing crazier games like passing water in disposable cups without using hands. Legs ached like crazy at the end of the day due to all the running.

Day 3: Ran around the school again playing wet games. Although they said everyone would get wet, i managed to stay relatively dry, unlike Jansen, who somehow uhh... got his innermost layer of clothing wet. xD And there was also the eating of junk food instead of lunch and dinner. But i seriously doubt that i'll try that again any time soon..

During the past 3 days, we got wet, dirty, sweaty and sticky. But the best thing is, nobody minded.

Friends were made through fun and games, and i have finally discovered just how small Singapore could be. Its incredible that my primary school classmate could have a best friend in her secondary school, and that best friend of hers is now in the same class as me. What's more astonishing is that the best friend actually knew my primary school best friend.

Kudos to those who made this orientation a success. Firstly, we had a great house captain. Secondly, there were those fantastic OGLs. Then there were us, and that undying enthusiam. Throw in the hard work which the SC had put in for the planning, and you get a awesome house and more importantly, a succesful orientation. =D

Well, since none of us in this OG were split up when sorted into different CGs, i guess i'll be seeing all of them tomorrow. Yay. Lol

And thus, JC life begins - part 2

I happened to chance upon a couple of the NAS graduation videos made by the classes of 2008.

They made me think of the great times we spent together last time..

I am trying to choose my subject combi and update my personal particulars on MJC's intranet right now. And apparently, the other 300 or so JC1's are doing the same thing as well. =.= Lagging like nuts....

And Zu An and I are like wondering, wads with MOE and their all round education thing?
Like, it would be so much less hassle to deal with if JC offers a triple science course. If that was the case, both of us would have taken triple science in sec 3, and both of us wouldnt have regretted not taking physics in sec 3, and both of us wouldnt have taken the stupid D&T. Lols

And thus, JC life begins..

Today, i stepped into MJC not knowing what to expect. I speculated things from.. Ok, i didnt speculate anything, but i really wasnt expecting anything close to subject introductions, subject counselling and demo lectures.

The better part of the day was spent sitting on the floor of the hall and getting butt cramps while listening to talks by the principal welcoming us to the college, the vice-principal about the difference between JC and secondary school life, and the various subject teachers (a.k.a. Civics Tutor) on their subjects.. But at least the principal was nice and let us stand up and stretch on two occasions. And that probably saved my life. Haha

Didnt make any friends yet today, since everyone is sticking to others who are wearing the same uniform as they are. Well, cant blame them for that, since i am doing it too. xD

Oh, and did i mention that the graphic calculator costs a bomb?.. Somewhere around $150 for a set..

I dont know about you people out there, but for me, this week seems to pass with excruciating slowness.

Maybe its because i am too used to work. And not working makes me bored, and hence time would seem to pass more slowly.

Maybe i have anticipated too many things this week. Things like the release of posting results during the weekdays and the start of a new life over the weekends.

I just hope that tomorrow will ocme quickly so that this horrible, overly-long week can be over. Like they say: "Tomorrow will be a better day". Or would it? o.0
